Academics are currently recruiting for a Mental Health Assistant to join a school in Stroud. This rewarding role involves supporting students with a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, alongside a range of complex needs, autism and associated learning differences, within a supportive environment. The Role - Mental Health Assistant - Stroud Support students with emotional regulation, wellbeing, and engagement in learning Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs Assist with behaviour strategies and promote positive coping mechanisms Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals What We''re Looking For - Mental Health Assistant A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach Experience supporting SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviour Strong communication and relationship-building skills Interest in mental health, SEN, and child development Psychology, counselling, education, or related background desirable Previous experience with young people or mental health ..... full job details .....
