Mental Health Advisor
Northbrook College, part of the Chichester College Group Mental Health Advisor (Maternity Cover) NBK7472 Pro rata of £31,279 to £34,189 per annum (i.e. £19,105.55 - £20,883.01) 26 hours per week, 38 weeks per year A fixed term, maternity cover, post has arisen for a Mental Health Advisor at our Northbrook, West Durrington campus, and Worthing Colleges. We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead and coordinate support for students with mental health needs. You will manage a caseload, act as the main point of contact, and provide guidance to staff to ensure effective and inclusive support. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies, you will help deliver a joined-up approach to student wellbeing, contribute to policy and best practice, and promote a positive mental health culture through training and initiatives. You will need to have experience of working with children and adults with Mental Health difficulties as well as experience and/or awareness of the issues facing learners in FE and HE. It is essential that you have worked within a multi-disciplinary team and in an educational setting. You should also have knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and online platforms. Along with a knowledge of Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults you must have an in depth understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education.
