A leading specialist engineering contractor within the UK water sector is looking to appoint an experienced MEICA Supervisor to support the delivery of clean water infrastructure projects across Hampshire and Berkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong MEICA professional with water industry experience who is looking to take responsibility for site supervision, installation, commissioning and delivery of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation works.

The Role

As MEICA Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate day-to-day MEICA activities across operational clean water sites, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality and technical standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supervising and coordinating daily MEICA installation activities across clean water sites.

Leading site teams and coordinating subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and in line with programme requirements.

Maintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance.

Supporting the preparation and implementation of RAMS, permits and toolbox talks.

Reviewing drawings, work packs, WIMES specifications and client standards to ensure designs are practical, compliant and buildable.

Supporting and/or leading the installation, inspection, testing and commissioning of pumps, MCCs, LV equipment, ICA systems, telemetry and associated water assets.

Ensuring ITPs, check sheets, inspection records and other quality documentation are completed accurately.

Maintaining site records, red-line drawings and handover documentation.

Overseeing mechanical and electrical isolations and ensuring safe energisation procedures are followed.

Liaising with Project Managers, Engineers, operational teams, clients and subcontractors to resolve technical and delivery issues.

Providing regular progress updates covering programme, resources, risks and site issues.

Supporting audits, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

At least 2 years' experience within the UK water industry.

Strong MEICA/EICA installation, maintenance or supervisory experience.

Good technical understanding of mechanical, electrical and/or civil engineering systems.

Experience working with pumps, valves, MCCs, LV switchgear, ICA, telemetry and water treatment assets.

Knowledge of clean water treatment processes, pumping systems and pipelines.

Familiarity with WIMES specifications and client standards.

Experience of construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities.

Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors.

A practical approach to resolving technical and site-based challenges.

Good understanding of HSEQ requirements, CDM and safe systems of work.

Full UK driving licence, as travel between operational sites will be required.

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

  • 18th Edition (BS7671:2018).

  • Relevant MEICA/EICA experience within the water or utilities sector.

Desirable Qualifications

  • AM2

  • City & Guilds 2391-52 or equivalent

  • SSSTS or SMSTS

  • EUSR Water Hygiene

  • Additional relevant MEICA, electrical or mechanical qualifications
