We''re recruiting for an experienced MEICA Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major water infrastructure project based in Swindon.
This is a long-term contract opportunity, offering an initial period of remote working during the design and pre-construction phase, before transitioning to a site-based role once construction begins.
You''ll take ownership of a pumping station project from design through to commissioning, managing specialist subcontractors, coordinating multiple work packages, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the full project lifecycle from design through to construction, commissioning and handover.
- Leading the delivery of a new pumping station scheme.
- Managing specialist subcontractors across MEICA and associated civil works.
- Overseeing the installation and interfacing of the rising main.
- Managing multiple packages of work, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
- Coordinating design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors and internal delivery teams.
- Driving programme performance, quality and commercial awareness throughout the project.
- Managing project risks, change and technical interfaces.
- Ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
About You
We''re looking for a specialist MEICA Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering pumping station or wastewater infrastructure projects.
You''ll ideally have:
- Extensive experience delivering MEICA projects within the UK water sector.
- Experience managing pumping station projects from design through to commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of rising mains and associated infrastructure.
- Experience managing subcontractors and specialist supply chain partners.
- Excellent package management and project coordination skills.
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and project delivery.
- SMSTS, CSCS and relevant water industry experience.
