MEICA Project Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MEICA Project Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of multidisciplinary water and wastewater projects, overseeing schemes from design through construction, commissioning and final handover.

You''ll lead the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) scope across projects, working closely with civil, process and wider engineering teams to ensure successful technical and commercial delivery.

The position offers a broad project management remit, covering programme, commercial performance, HSQE, procurement, stakeholder management and site delivery, alongside the opportunity to develop within a growing water engineering business.

The Role

You''ll be involved in:

• Leading the MEICA scope across water and wastewater projects
• Managing projects through construction, commissioning and client handover
• Leading site teams across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control works
• Coordinating closely with civil, building and process engineering teams
• Managing project programmes, budgets, risks and opportunities
• Monitoring project performance against programme, commercial and HSQE requirements
• Managing the procurement of suppliers and subcontractors
• Working closely with clients, representatives and third-party stakeholders
• Supporting commercial management, cashflow and interim payment processes
• Providing leadership, training and mentoring to project team members
• Supporting tendering and future project opportunities
• Driving lessons learned and improvements across project delivery

The position carries significant responsibility across both the technical and commercial sides of project delivery.

What They''re Looking For

• Around 3-5+ years'' experience in a similar project management role
• Previous water and wastewater experience preferred
• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline
• Strong understanding of MEICA engineering works
• Experience with mechanical process systems, electrical installations and control panels
• Knowledge of commissioning and process proving activities
• Strong programme and project management capabilities
• Experience preparing and updating project programmes
• Ability to manage clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities
• Full UK driving licence
