Role OverviewLeadership role in improving and optimising the safe use of medicines across the organisation.

Managing the Medicines Safety Team.

Active involvement and leadership in incident learning responses, oversight, and risk management strategies.

Provision of specialised advice concerning complex medicines safety issues, including improvement strategies.

Using intelligence, data, and expertise to maintain, monitor, and optimise the safe use of medicines.

Provision of assurance around the safe use of medicines to the trust in line with national standards and safety alerts.

Optimise systems, technology, and processes.

Engage and communicate medicines safety issues to healthcare professionals in line with the medicines strategy.

Actively participate and represent medicines safety for the trust.

Position DetailsWe are looking for a motivated and dynamic pharmacist to take on the role of Medicines Safety Team Lead and Highly Advanced Specialist Pharmacist for a 10-month fixed-term period. This is an excellent opportunity to assume management and leadership responsibilities, as well as deliver the trust''s medicines safety workplan across the organisation. Qualifications

Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council

MSc in Clinical Pharmacy/Patient Safety (or equivalent) - desirable

Patient Safety Science and Human Factors qualification - desirable

Line Management experience - desirable

Leadership experience, investigation of incidents, and risk management - desirable

Quality Improvement or change management experience - desirable

Appropriate UK professional registration
