To help support our Clinical staff in providing a high quality medical service. To assist the GPs, Practice Manager, Nursing staff and Administrative team and comply with all practice protocols and procedures. To receive, assist and direct patients, at reception, in a courteous and efficient way. Deal with telephone calls for appointments, prescriptions and patient queries. Accurate message taking. Liaise with local pharmacies and other health care professionals. Deal with incoming and outgoing mail and the scanning of documents. New patient registration and other administrative tasks. Work with computerised systems including EMIS for booking appointments and data entry. Ensure confidentiality at all times. Any other duties to meet requirements of the post.
