We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) to join a busy and fast-paced pathology laboratory in Central London on a temporary basis for 3 months, working hours Monday to Friday: 11.30-20.00.This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dedicated healthcare team, playing a vital role in supporting diagnostic services and ensuring high standards of patient care.Key Responsibilities Register patient information and test requests accurately onto laboratory systemsReceive, check, label, and prepare samples for analysisProcess and prepare specimens for diagnostic testingRespond professionally to enquiries from healthcare professionals and patientsProvide authorised test results where appropriateHandle incoming calls and direct enquiries to the relevant departmentsPackage and dispatch samples in accordance with biohazard and transport regulationsMonitor stock levels and order laboratory supplies when requiredEnsure the safe disposal of clinical and hazardous wasteMaintain clean, safe, and organised laboratory work areas and equipment To be successful in this role, you will have: A degree in Biomedical Science or a related scientific disciplinePrevious experience working within a pathology or medical laboratory environment in particular Sample ReceptionKnowledge of laboratory procedures, quality standards, and sample ..... full job details .....
