Overview

An opportunity for a permanent part-time Medical HR Assistant (22.5 hours per week) to join the team based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, providing support to the Trust on a wide range of medical HR issues. This post offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in this specialised and developing area of work. The role will support the Assistant Team predominantly, undertaking a wide range of HR Assistant duties. Good communication skills, along with a diplomatic and tactful approach, are essential as the post involves liaison with medical staff at all levels in addition to outside agencies. Should any further vacancies arise at this level, shortlisted candidates will be considered.The Medical HR department provides a professional, comprehensive and timely Medical HR/Job Planning service to Directorates within the Trust. This supports directorates to recruit and retain staffing levels to enable the Trust to provide the appropriate level of health care to the community consistent with the overall Trust strategy, and to meet its objectives through the application of current best practice in a wide range of issues. This role supports the Advisor team in a wide range of duties as well as supporting the Medical HR Assistant Team workload.Responsibilities

Support the Assistant Team predominantly, undertaking a wide range of HR Assistant duties.Provide support to the Trust on medical HR issues.Maintain effective liaison with medical staff at all levels and with outside agencies through a diplomatic and tactful approach.Assist the Advisor team in a wide range of duties and support the Medical HR Assistant Team workload.Contribute to the professional, comprehensive Medical HR/Job Planning service to Directorates within the Trust.Qualifications and Skills

5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4/C or above including English and Maths, or proven recent relevant experience at a similar level in Human Resources or Medical Human Resources in a busy office.Basic IT skills, including working knowledge of databases and Microsoft Office.Demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm for the role.Benefits and Outlook
