About the RoleAs a Media Teacher, you will deliver engaging and academically challenging lessons that encourage students to critically analyse media products, audiences, and representations. You will support learners in developing analytical, creative, and practical media production skills while fostering a deeper understanding of the rapidly evolving media landscape.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver high-quality Media Studies lessons in line with GCSE and A-Level specificationsTeach topics such as media language, representation, audiences, media industries, and digital mediaEncourage critical thinking and discussion around contemporary media issues and trendsSupport students in developing analytical writing, research, and media production skillsAssess, track, and report on student progressContribute to curriculum development within the Media or Creative Arts departmentSupport enrichment opportunities such as film clubs, media projects, competitions, or industry-focused eventsAbout YouQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Degree in Media Studies, Film Studies, Communications, Journalism, or a related subjectStrong understanding of media theory, analysis, and contemporary media platformsAbility to make media concepts engaging, relevant, and accessible to studentsStrong communication and classroom management skillsCommitment to safeguarding and student well beingWillingness to contribute to wider school and sixth form lifeWhat We OfferSupportive and collaborative ..... full job details .....
