Mechatronics Engineer

Duties: Designs, analyzes, modifies, and integrates robotics, automation, technologies and processes related to equipment and tooling for applicability to programs and products. Develops, implements, and tests preventative maintenance plans, interim solutions for damaged and unsafe equipment, and tooling. Investigates and documents engineering changes and controls equipment and tooling configuration in accordance with standard operating procedures. Develops and recommends equipment reliability improvements through the application of reliability engineering tooling. Responsibilities typically include: Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager. Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and often complex. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential: Degree in Engineering or other STEM subjects. Practical experience building verification and validation rigs for formal approval / sign off. Knowledge of using SysML and Matlab/Simulink for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Experience in network architecture design/communication networks. Solid understanding of requirements definition and interface documentation required to support the development and acceptance of solutions. Complex issue resolution across various functional commodities for testing. Positive attitude, and willingness to get involved with tasks across the System Engineering lifecycle.
