Mechanical Design Engineer - Permanenrt role Salary 40,000 - 50,000 per annum + Overtime + Bonus We are a well-established Engineering company based at a modern office and factory, boasting a customer base that includes some of the largest and most recognisable businesses in the world. Due to expansion we are seeking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer to undertake Product Support, Design and Development. Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, the appointed Mechanical Design Engineer will: Produce 2D and 3D Drawings that meet technical product specification standards. Calculate geometric tolerances. As each project is bespoke, the Mechanical Design Engineer will liaise with customers directly and through the Project Sales Teams to identify exact requirements. The Mechanical Design Engineer will also be responsible for material selection, estimating costs for machine manufacture. Design for CNC manufacture Correct highlighted flaws in designs and communicate with the manufacturing team to engineer pre-production prototypes. Design a wide variety of machinery and systems including: Handling Systems, Filling Machines, Dosing Equipment, Extruders, Cooling Tunnels and Mechanical Cutting Machinery, Ultrasonic Cutting Systems.
