Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 4.30pm (37.5hrs)

-26,000 - -31,000 depending on skills and experience

Our interesting client with a small, friendly office team are looking for a Mechanical Testing Technician to join them on a permanent basis. This could be someone with a qualification in engineering, looking to take their first step, or someone experienced with mechanical engineering looking for a unique opportunity. You will be a team player with good physical fitness, attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly to an interesting role.

The key responsibilities:

• Within this role, you will be testing products to assess durability, strength and other specifications and standards
• Physical attack testing as well as rig & machine-based testing
• Writing technical reports in regarding to testing - ensuring attention to detail and thorough explanation
• Liaising with clients
• Goods inward and booking in - logging deliveries, updating spreadsheets and photographing samples

Minimum requirements:

• Experience or qualification in mechanical engineering
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Great communication and standard of written & spoken English
• Organised, proactive and productive
• Good level of physical fitness

• Understanding of machinery and tools
