      <description>Location: Burton upon Trent | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Contract | Job Title: Mechanical Tester Location: Barton Under Needwood Shifts: Days only Hours: 40 hours per week  Monday to Thursday: 7 am - 4 pm Friday: 7 am - 1 pm Duration: Long-term contract with a strong possibility of a permanent position. Company Overview:  A leading manufacturer and front-line supplier of powertrain products across the UK and Ireland, specializing in Engine Overhaul, Final Drive Overhaul, and Locomotive Refurbishment.  Role Overview: This role involves the testing and validation of Rail Engines, Transmissions, Powerpacks, and Cooler Groups. A rolling stock background is required, along with a basic understanding of computers for data entry and reporting.  Key Responsibilities:  Install components into test cells and conduct production power product testing following work instructions. Ensure products meet the required testing standards.
