Mechanical Test Technician

An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Test Technician to join a busy engineering team responsible for the assembly, testing and development of complex machinery and mechanical systems. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, fault finding and working closely with engineers to ensure equipment performs to the required standards. You''ll play a key role in building, testing and evaluating machinery, helping identify issues and supporting the development of new and existing products. Key Responsibilities Mechanical assembly of machinery, sub-assemblies and test equipment. Set up and conduct testing activities on mechanical systems and products. Diagnose faults and investigate equipment failures to determine root causes. Carry out inspections and assessments of components and assemblies. Support commissioning, validation and performance testing activities. Record test results and provide feedback to engineering teams. Assist with modifications, improvements and development projects. Work from engineering drawings, technical specifications and assembly instructions. Support prototype builds and new product development activities. Maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping. Candidate Requirements Apprentice trained or qualified Mechanical Fitter, Technician or similar engineering discipline.
