Mechanical Tendering Engineer Location: Halesowen, West Midlands Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience Job Type: Full-time, Permanent The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Tendering Engineer to join a growing engineering business specialising in mechanical and electrical installation services within the Water Utilities, Petrochemical and Process industries. Based in Halesowen, West Midlands, you will play a key role in preparing technically compliant and commercially competitive mechanical tenders. This position would suit an experienced Mechanical Engineer or Tendering Engineer with a strong background in pipework, fabrication and installation projects. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams to develop accurate and competitive proposals from initial enquiry through to project handover. Key Responsibilities Prepare technically compliant and commercially competitive mechanical tenders. Ensure tenders are completed accurately and within required timescales. Review drawings and specifications and produce detailed material take-offs. Obtain, review and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations from both a technical and commercial perspective. Prepare financial estimates, including material, labour and subcontract costs. Attend site visits to assess proposed works and understand project requirements.
