Mechanical Technician - Training Offered

We are looking for a practical and hands-on Mechanical Technician to join a growing team to ensure equipment is operating safely, efficiently and reliably. The role will have a particular focus on the service, maintenance and repair of scissor lift platforms, as well as supporting the wider maintenance of production machinery and equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in mechanics and fixing things. A formal mechanical qualification is not essential - we''re looking for someone with good practical ability, a willingness to learn and the confidence to investigate problems and find solutions. Experience with basic electrical or electronic systems would also be advantageous. The role works Monday to Friday, 40 hour per week, 6am-3pm. Due to the rural location, you need access to your own vehicle. Key responsibilities of Mechanical Technician include: Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections of scissor lift platforms and other equipment. Complete planned preventative maintenance to keep equipment safe, reliable and fit for purpose. Diagnose faults and carry out or assist with mechanical repairs. Identify worn, damaged or faulty components and replace consumable and replacement parts as required. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and work effectively to minimise downtime and disruption to production.
