Job Summary
Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance activities

Inspect conveyors, valves, compressors, filters, rotary equipment, and piping systems

Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs

Support shutdown and breakdown maintenance works

Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently maintain maintenance records and inspection reports

Duties

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Analyse schematics, technical drawings, and system designs using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
  • Develop and modify mechanical components and assemblies through fabrication, system design, and product development processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify faults or inefficiencies within mechanical systems.
  • Utilise programming skills in Python, C, C++, and MATLAB for automation, debugging, and system control tasks involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Assist in the realisation of construction projects by providing technical support and ensuring compliance with GD&T standards.
  • Support electrical engineering activities related to system integration and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct system debugging, testing, and optimisation to improve reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering teams to implement innovative solutions that enhance overall system functionality.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and CAD systems for mechanical design.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, fabrication techniques, and system design principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, C++, and MATLAB for automation and control applications.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts including schematics, PLC programming, and system integration.
  • Familiarity with GD&T standards for precise manufacturing tolerances.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and debugging on complex mechanical systems.
  • Experience with product development cycles from concept through fabrication to testing.
  • Mechanical knowledge encompassing system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
