Mechanical Technician

Mechanical Technician We are seeking qualified and experienced Mechanical Technicians to join our client''s team, maintaining ship-to-shore cranes and fully automated bulk handling systems to ensure maximum operational availability for vessel loading and unloading activities. This role operates on a flexible shift pattern within a busy 24/7 port environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned, preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical systems and working environments. Work closely with operations teams to prioritise repairs on unserviceable machinery, using fault-finding techniques and diagnostic equipment to minimise downtime. Complete all required documentation accurately, including daily logs and maintenance work orders. Perform duties safely and responsibly, adhering to Health and Safety policies and HSE regulations at all times. Maintain the highest standards of mechanical workmanship. Support a multi-skilled team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, bringing forward ideas to improve efficiency and smarter ways of working. Be flexible with working hours, including regular weekend shifts and paid overtime when required. About You Minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering or mechanical discipline.
