Mechanical Technician Location: Culham Contract Length: 12 Months Working Pattern: Full-time onsite IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Security Clearance: BPSS required Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to support shutdown, maintenance and installation activities within a highly regulated engineering environment. The primary focus of the role will be supporting a specialist mechanical assembly team during planned shutdown periods, including preparation and execution activities. In addition, the successful candidate will provide broader mechanical support across plant systems as required. The role involves working on a variety of sophisticated mechanical systems including: Vacuum systems Cooling systems Pressurised systems Electro-magnetic systems Responsibilities will include installation, maintenance, fault finding, repair and modification of both existing and new systems. As a Mechanical Technician, you will also be expected to supervise mechanical fitters and junior craft personnel where required. Duties will vary depending on operational requirements and individual experience.
