Mechanical Technician

EFAB Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician on behalf of our client for a 2.5 month contract based in Wimbledon starting on the 7th December 2026 until 20th February 2027 (Full Time / 40 Hrs per Week) The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant and equipment. Working within their level of training, competence, and authorisation, the Maintenance Technician will play a key role in maintaining compliance with site standards whilst supporting operational performance. The role will involve standard weekday working hours, with the expectation of supporting out-of-hours and weekend breakdown callouts when required. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on plant and machinery, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. Conduct inspections of operating equipment and diagnose faults as required. Raise SAP notifications and work orders to facilitate corrective maintenance activities. Troubleshoot and rectify equipment defects, identifying opportunities to improve plant reliability and performance. Perform plant isolation activities within authorised competency levels to enable maintenance work to be undertaken safely. Test, recommission, and restart equipment following maintenance activities.
