Mechanical Technician

Astute''s Power team is partnered with a market leading Energy company to recruit a Mechanical Technician on a 3 month contact basis for their power station in South London.The Mechanical Technician role comes with a negotiable hourly/daily rate (DoE), inside of IR35. Experience, skills and qualifications Fault finding and maintaining mechanical assets including steam boilers, pumps, gearboxes, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressed air systems, etc.Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practicesTo ensure compliance with the pressure regulations and lifting gear inspection requirementsMaintaining accurate maintenance records on the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)To ensure the availability of plant sparesIdeally have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical EngineeringPrior experience of hands-on maintenance within heavy process engineering environments such as Power, Paper Mills, FMCG, COMAH sites, etc.Location, remuneration and timeframe of the Mechanical Technician role South LondonNegotiable rate (Inside IR35)3 month contractImmediate start date INDPOWAstute People are acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy.
