      <description>Location: Bedford | Salary: &amp;pound;350 - &amp;pound;400/day Negotiable | Type: Contract | Mechanical Systems Design Engineer - Contract(Inside IR 35)    Location:  Bedford (Hybrid - 3 days/week on-site)  Experience Required:  7+ years    The Role:   Our client seeking an experienced Mechanical Systems Design Engineer for a long-term contract based in Bedford. Working within an innovative aerospace R&amp;D environment, you will focus on the design and structural integrity of next-generation aerial platforms.  You will be heavily involved in aerostructural design, taking concepts through to rapid prototyping and integration.   Key Skills &amp; Experience     7+ Years Experience:  Proven track record in mechanical systems or aerospace design.   CAD Proficiency:  SolidWorks is highly preferred, but we are open to experts in CATIA, Creo, Inventor, or NX.   Aerostructures:  Deep understanding of wing and fuselage design and integration.   Advanced Manufacturing:  Extensive experience with 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and composite materials.   Engineering Fundamentals:  Strong ability to conduct first-principles hand calculations to validate early design concepts.
