Mechanical Supervisor

Job Title: Mechanical Appointed Person/Supervisor Location: Southampton Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35 Umbrella PAYE) Duration: 12 months+ Sector: Water / Wastewater The Company We are working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 Water/Wastewater contractor, delivering large capital delivery schemes on behalf of Southenr Water. With multiple live projects across clean water sites, they are looking to strengthen their delivery team with the appointment of an experienced Mechanical Appointed Person. The Role As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of mechanical packages across major water infrastructure projects. You will oversee site activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and programme targets, while supervising both directly employed staff and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate mechanical works, including pipework fabrication, welding, and inspection. Review and interpret PandIDs and GA drawings to support pipeline snagging and resolution of issues. Manage and monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring work is delivered to the required standards. Oversee the preparation, review, and implementation of RAMS and permits. Provide ongoing support to Site and Project Managers, ensuring alignment with project deliverables.
