Mechanical Supervisor and Fitters

Aqua-Tech Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced mechanical supervisor and-mechanical fitters (x2) to start work on a water treament plant on Monday 22nd September. The project with continue for approximately 3 months with more works to follow after.

Project Overview:

We are seeking experienced a mechanical supervisor and mechanical fitters to join a team working on a water treatment plant project. The successful candidates will be working on the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment related to water treatment infrastructure.

Mandatory Requirements (All Roles):

• Valid CSCS Card

• Anglian Water Safety Passport (AWSP)

• Previous experience in water treatment or heavy mechanical-installation

• Good understanding of health and safety on construction/utility sites

Desirable (for Future Projects):

• Confined Space Entry Certification (Medium Risk or above)

Role-Specific Responsibilities:

Mechanical Supervisor:

• Oversee and coordinate the activities of mechanical fitters on-site

• Ensure works are completed according to project specifications and schedules

• Conduct toolbox talks and daily briefings

• Liaise with site management, engineers, and subcontractors

• Maintain accurate daily records and reports

• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in compliance with site rules and permits

Mechanical Fitters:

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, pipework, screens, etc.)

• Interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications

• Work with various materials (stainless steel, mild steel, plastic pipework)

• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently

• Support testing and commissioning as required
