Mechanical Site Manager

An established Mandamp;E contractor, based in Manchester city centre are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Site Manager to help run the HVAC side to their new build development.
You (the candidate) will have the chance to prove yourself within a company who are working on some of Manchesterandrsquo;s most prestigious projects.
Responsibilities
andbull; Managing the entire HVAC fit-out elements of the project
andbull; General assistance with the operations manager raising any necessary issues
andbull; Retrieving quotes to ensure supply costs are as competitive as possible
andbull; Technical Liaison and review with externals (clients, suppliers, sub-contractors)
andbull; Attending meetings and site visits as/when required
andbull; Able to work and learn their procedures of site management
andbull; Willing to develop your role and advance your responsibilities further, for which you will be rewarded accordingly.
Experience Required
andbull; Previous experience working on projects worth andpound;1,000,000 upwards (Mandamp;E value)
andbull; Able to use Microsoft packages and read/interpret drawings
andbull; NVQ, HNC or relative mechanical building services qualifications is desirable but NOT essential to the role
andbull; Time served in a HVAC discipline is essential
andbull; Experience in a supervisory capacity managing sub-contractors and suppliers is essential
andbull; You must be able to communicate at all levels and be comfortable speaking with clients
andbull; It would be a great advantage if you came from a plumbing and/or heating background
