Mechanical Shift Engineer

Key Duties

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Fault-find and repair mechanical building services equipment.
• Maintain HVAC systems, pumps, motors, valves, and pipework.
• Respond to plant failures and emergency call-outs.
• Complete maintenance records and update the CAFM system.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Work closely with the wider engineering team and contractors.
• Support continuous improvement and minor project works.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of mechanical building services and HVAC systems.
• Professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
