Mechanical Service Engineer
A leading provider of engineering services to heavy industry, including Energy, Refinery, Aggregate, and Utilities, is seeking a Mechanical Service Engineer. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and fault-finding on rotating equipment, including large turbines, pumps, and auxiliary machinery. Most client sites are within an hour''s drive, with occasional UK wide travel.Salary and Benefits 40,000 - 47,000 per year plus Travel allowance / extra payments for client site travelAnnual bonus and private healthcareCompany van, fuel card, tools, PPE, laptop, phone28 days holiday + bank holidaysUncapped overtime opportunitiesKey ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical repairs and maintenance on turbines, pumps, and BOP (Balance of Plant) equipmentConduct fault finding, defect repairs, installation, and commissioningUse precision measuring tools, alignment equipment, and micrometersComplete detailed reports, condition assessments, and technical documentationAssist and lead planned projects and outagesManage work schedules efficiently and respond to callouts on a 1 in 5 basisSkills and Experience RequiredMechanical qualifications: ONC, HNC, NVQ, or equivalentProven experience with rotating equipment in heavy engineering or power generation sectorsOEM pump or turbine experience preferredStrong technical ability in fault diagnosis, measuring, and reportingExcellent customer service, communication, and teamwork skillsSelf-motivated, independent, and flexibleFull, clean driving ..... full job details .....
