Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Salary: -40,000 - -47,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Company Van

A well-established engineering services provider to heavy industry is seeking an experienced Mechanical Service Engineer to support customers across the Crawley and surrounding areas.

This field-based role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing rotating equipment including pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, and associated plant equipment within heavy industrial environments such as Aggregates.

The Role:

• Mechanical fault finding, repair, and overhaul of rotating equipment

• Installation and commissioning of pumps, turbines, and auxiliary systems

• Conducting inspections and producing detailed service reports

• Precision alignment and measurement using micrometers and laser alignment tools

• Supporting shutdowns, planned maintenance, and breakdown response

• Attending customer callouts (with occasional overnight stays)

• Working independently in the field and as part of a wider engineering team

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified in Mechanical Engineering (ONC / HNC / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

• Strong background in heavy industry (Aggregates, Power Generation, Cement, Recycling or similar)

• Proven experience with rotating equipment, pumps, or turbines

• OEM experience desirable

• Comfortable working on-site in industrial environments

• Full UK driving licence

• Strong customer-facing and communication skills
