Job Title: Mechanical Refurbishment Technician
Location: Hull
Salary: -30,000 per annum

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Mechanical Refurbishment Technician to join their team in Hull. This role focuses on delivering high-quality mechanical refurbishment and repair services within a workshop environment. It is ideal for a hands-on individual with strong mechanical knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver professional mechanical refurbishment services to customers
  • Roll repair and refurbishment
  • Die refurbishment
• Carry out general workshop duties, including:
  • Dismantling and assembly of mechanical components
  • Identifying damaged or worn parts
  • Replacing bearings and other key components
  • Operating and programming CNC equipment

Technical Skills & Experience

• Mechanical qualification or strong hands-on mechanical experience
• Experience in a machine shop or similar environment
• Knowledge of CNC equipment, including vertical grinders and countersink machines
• Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers and verniers
• Good understanding of mechanical systems (e.g. gearboxes, bearings, seals, lubricants)
• Ability to read and work from technical/composite drawings
• Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
