MERITUS are recruiting for a Mechanical Quality Inspector to join our Maritime client in a permanent position within their Manufacturing team.MECHANICAL QUALITY INSPECTOR - 40,000 + OVERTIME - YATELEY, HAMPSHIRE - 1 STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESSWe are supporting a precision engineering environment seeking a Quality Inspector to carry out inspection and verification of mechanical components and assemblies. This role sits within a regulated manufacturing setting where accuracy to engineering drawings, quality compliance, and traceability are critical.The position requires strong hands-on inspection capability, with a particular emphasis on CMM inspection using Aberlink systems, alongside the ability to interface with internal engineering teams and external suppliers to resolve quality issues.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed inspection of mechanical parts and assemblies from both internal manufacturing and external suppliers using conventional inspection tools and 3-axis CMM equipment (Aberlink), including program creation and editing.Coordinate the verification of machined components, ensuring all items meet specification and are compliant with engineering drawings.Identify and document non-conformance''s, escalating issues through internal reporting systems to ensure timely resolution.Conduct additional testing activities where required, including PMI testing and chemical etching.Support supplier quality activities, including communication around non-conformance and ..... full job details .....
