Opportunity

We are currently working with a well-established Building Services contractor that is seeking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to support the delivery of a growing portfolio of projects across Coventry, the West Midlands and surrounding regions.

Operating across a range of sectors including commercial, healthcare, education and industrial, the business has developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical solutions while maintaining long-standing relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Managing mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion and final handover.
• Developing and monitoring project programmes to ensure delivery milestones are achieved.
• Coordinating site teams, specialist subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Ensuring resources are effectively allocated to meet project requirements.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants and key project stakeholders.
• Attending progress meetings and providing regular project updates.
• Maintaining strong working relationships to support successful project outcomes.

Commercial & Operational Management

• Supporting procurement activities and subcontractor management.
• Monitoring project performance against programme and budget objectives.
• Managing variations and change control processes in conjunction with commercial teams.
• Identifying and mitigating project risks throughout the delivery phase.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
• Promoting a positive health and safety culture across all project activities.
• Overseeing commissioning, snagging and project close-out activities.
• Ensuring all documentation is completed and issued as required.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in the delivery of mechanical building services projects and will have experience operating within an M&E contractor or Building Services environment.

• Previous experience in a Mechanical Project Manager position.
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC, pipework and mechanical systems.
• Experience delivering projects within commercial, healthcare, education or industrial sectors.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management abilities.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
