Mechanical Project Manager

We are working with a well-established Mechanical and Electrical building services contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-quality projects across the UK. They are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team in Newcastle . This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially astute Project Manager to take ownership of mechanical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards while exceeding client expectations. Key Responsibilities Day-to-day management of Site Managers, apprentices, and coordination with Project Coordinators and other internal teams (Pre-Construction and Design, Operations). Oversee design compliance, technical submissions, and ensure all works align with project specifications, contractor proposals, and employer requirements. Manage site operations including resource allocation, programming, risk assessments, permits, quality control, and KPI tracking. Champion Health and Safety compliance, including RAMS, permits, and incident reporting. Implement Inspection, Testing and Commissioning Plans (ITCP) and ensure all plant/equipment is installed to manufacturer standards. Manage project programmes, progress reporting, internal meetings, testing/commissioning, and aim for zero defects.
