Mechanical Project Engineer

This is an opportunity to join a growing diverse team within an expanding sector of the fire industry. Current and forthcoming projects cover public and private sectors; including custodial, healthcare, hotels, retail and residential; and range in value from £10k to £150k+. Projects are located nationwide and a degree of flexibility in working location may be required. Protec cover all travel and accommodation expenses. Training, further qualifications and bonus scheme will be offered to the successful candidate. Typical Responsibilities To expertly handle sprinkler small works installation from initial enquiry through to final accounts working along side the small works manager. Assume specific financial control of projects, delivering the works efficiently and profitably, including responsibility for raising purchase and subcontract orders. Effectively manage the installation work on site; attending regular client meetings; having responsibility for health and safety; producing progress updates and reports; and completion of project quality assurance checks. Prepare and communicate detailed programmes of work to ensure deadlines and contract requirements are met. Liaise with suppliers, design, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and information flow, and accurately report to clients, contractors and governing bodies as necessary and reporting into the small works manager.
