      <description>Location: Redditch | Salary: &amp;pound;30 - &amp;pound;31/hour Plus holiday pay in addition | Type: Contract | Contract role: Mechanical Project Engineer - Obsolescence &amp; Lifecycle Support    Contract length: 12 months initially    Location: Redditch, Worcestershire (Hybrid - 3-4 days on-site)  Rate: -31 per hour (PAYE only) plus holiday pay in addition   We are seeking an experienced  Mechanical Project Engineer (Obsolescence &amp; Lifecycle Support)  to support a critical engineering programme focused on extending the lifecycle of a legacy UK MOD system. This is a hands-on, technically varied role combining mechanical engineering, documentation, and project coordination.   You will play a key role in an engineering project aimed at removing obsolescence and updating technical documentation for a high-pressure inert gas supply system originally designed in the 1980s.  The system includes gas storage, valves, safety devices, gauges, and pipe assemblies housed within a transportable chassis.
