Hours: 37.5 hours per week with flexible start and finish times
An established engineering manufacturer is looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Engineer / Product Development Engineer to join their growing technical team.This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer who enjoys a mix of new product development, design improvement, project delivery and customer-focused engineering solutions. Working within a specialist manufacturing environment, you''ll be involved in taking products from concept through to production while supporting ongoing engineering and development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support product development and engineering projects.
- Design and develop bespoke mechanical equipment and engineered products.
- Produce and modify 3D CAD models, drawings and technical documentation.
- Manage projects from concept through manufacture and installation.
- Liaise with production, suppliers and customers throughout the project life cycle.
- Drive continuous improvement activities across existing product ranges.
- Support testing, prototyping and engineering validation activities.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
What We''re Looking For:
- Degree or HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, sheet metal, materials handling, conveyor systems, special purpose machinery or capital equipment environment.
- Strong mechanical design and project engineering experience.
- Proficient in 3D CAD software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Practical engineering mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
