We are recruiting for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter / Mechanical Plant Engineer to join an established engineering business supporting a major industrial project in Devon. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Engineer with experience maintaining, servicing and repairing heavy plant, quarrying equipment, crushing and screening machinery or construction plant. You''ll be working with a variety of equipment, including crushers, screeners, conveyors and mobile plant, helping to ensure machinery operates safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime. The Role Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy plant and processing equipment. Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel engine faults. Respond to breakdowns, identifying faults and minimising downtime. Maintain crushing, screening, conveying and associated quarrying equipment. Support machinery installations, commissioning and refurbishment projects. Inspect equipment, identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
