Join a leading MEP contractor as a Mechanical Manager to play a key role in delivering a high-profile commercial development here in London. They are looking for a proven leader with the technical expertise and site experience to oversee all aspects of mechanical delivery—from concept through to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate the mechanical division of a major office block project.

Oversee construction activities, managing both in-house teams and external contractors.

Ensure accurate take-offs for all infrastructure systems: Drainage, LTHW, CHW, BCWS, grey water, sanitaryware, etc.

Ensure all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are in place, up to date, and followed.

Implement Mechanical Safe Systems of Work procedures and maintain strict Health & Safety standards across the site.

Conduct Quality Assurance inspections and proactively address any defects or risks.

Manage pre-commissioning and commissioning works (e.g., flushing, testing, chlorination).

Provide regular updates to Contracts and Project Managers.

Take ownership of mechanical issues, liaising with clients and design teams for resolutions.

Deliver toolbox talks and support continuous improvement in site safety culture.
Skills & Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Manager on commercial projects.

City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or higher in a relevant field.

SMSTS qualification.

Strong track record managing MEP subcontractors.

Confident in reading and interpreting building services drawings and technical documentation.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Deep understanding of current Health & Safety regulations and best practices.

Effective leader with experience managing site teams and third parties.
