Mechanical Maintenance Technician Temporary to Permanent Position London £29.45 per hour (Umbrella/CIS) £43,000 - £45,000 Full-Time A prestigious and well-established Higher Education organisation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join its Estates and Maintenance team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified mechanical professional looking for long-term career stability within a complex and technically demanding building services environment. Working as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a diverse estate, ensuring critical mechanical infrastructure remains safe, compliant and fully operational. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant, equipment and associated systems. Diagnose faults, undertake repairs and identify solutions to minimise downtime and service disruption. Support the operation, maintenance and optimisation of building services infrastructure. Complete maintenance activities in line with statutory regulations, safety standards and industry best practice. Update maintenance records and job reports using CAFM systems. Assist with the preparation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). Support project works, asset replacements and infrastructure upgrades.
