Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) Location: Solihull, West MidlandsSalary: Competitive (dependent on experience)Hours: Monday Friday, 08 00Call-Out: 1 in 4 rota (following successful completion of probation)The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their Building Services team, supporting the maintenance of a prestigious commercial retail environment in Solihull.This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer with experience in Building Services or Facilities Management who enjoys working in a customer-focused commercial environment. The successful candidate will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring all mechanical and associated building services remain safe, compliant and fully operational.While this is primarily a mechanical role, applicants should have a basic understanding of electrical building services and be confident carrying out first-line fault finding where required.Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical and building services systems. Diagnose faults and repair mechanical plant and equipment to minimise downtime. Maintain and service mechanical pipework systems, pumps, motors, bearings, valves and HVAC plant.
