Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Are you an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer looking for a new role in the Birmingham area? Want to work on an interesting static site for one of the UK''s biggest Facilities Management companies?

We''re looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to join our clients team, working on a large contract - this is a static site role working on days - no shifts or call out!

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all mechanical plant
* Ability to carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on mechanical equipment
* Develop a good working relationship with all members of the team and client
* Ensure logbooks, shift hand-over and the client''s reporting is updated regularly and accurately
* Have a flexible attitude to working overtime where required
* Identify and report potential hazards

Person Specification/Requirements

* A good written and spoken English, Mathematics and IT skills
* Full UK driving license
* Comprehensive mechanical experience, undertaking reactive and planned preventative maintenance
* Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities
* Ability to learn, and develop both technical knowledge, and understanding of local organisational systems and processes
* Excellent fault-finding skills
* Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service
* Calm manner, able to work under pressure
* Demonstrates organisational and planning skills
* Manage multiple priorities simultaneously
* Ability to work to own initiative and as part of a team with minimal supervision
* None essential but advantageous, Formal H&S training, Legionella Awareness, IPAF
