Mechanical maintenance engineer

Maintenance Engineer - Days | Mon- Thursday only 

7am to 5.30 monday to thursday with Friday off!
£38,000 plus benefits 

We are currently working with a growing FMCG client to recruit a skilled Maintenance Engineer for their Nelson site. This is a full-time, days-based role (Monday to Thursday), offering a great work-life balance.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, minimising downtime, and supporting operational output through a mix of planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and continuous improvement, working on planned maintenance and breakdowns on food machinery, such as flow wrappers, mixers, coolers etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) across all production equipment
• Diagnose faults on mechnical machinery. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager on this busy site.

Ideal candidates will have some experience working on machinery. The client is also willing to train candidates as well.
