Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We''re recruiting for a Mechanical bias Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing/processing plant based close to Newton on Trent. This role is a fast paced role working in state of the art facility. The Person:

• NVQ level 3 trained (Apprenticeship).
• Experienced in a manufacturing / processing environment.-
• Motivated / Effective communicator / Problem solver.

The Role:

• Carrying out planned (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Ensuring compliance with OEM standards, legislation, and best practices.
• Supporting large-scale maintenance during outage periods.
• Managing and maintaining critical spares and consumables.
• Updating and developing maintenance procedures and documentation.
• Using the CMMS system to log, review, and improve maintenance tasks.
• Promoting and enforcing a strong health & safety culture.
• Supervising contractors and supporting risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Contributing to accident and near-miss investigations.
• Driving continuous improvement and plant efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on improvement projects.
• Staying up to date with industry developments and technology.

This role is working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week (Days 8-4) with an on call rota 1 in 4. Contact Shaun Treacy at Questech Recruitment for more information.-
