About the jobPosition : Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location : SheffieldSector : EngineeringShift : 4-on, 4-off continental shift pattern, covering 12-hour day shifts (06:00-18:00) and night shifts (18:00-06:00)Salary 50,000Responsibilities:Take responsibility for all planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities across the plant.Provide first-line mechanical maintenance and breakdown support to minimise equipment downtime.Manage mechanical engineering activities on shift while ensuring full compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.Assist with planning and coordinating shift maintenance activities, providing specialist mechanical knowledge where required.Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving equipment reliability, performance and efficiency.Investigate plant breakdowns and provide accurate technical information and reports to support Single Event Analysis (SEA).Assist in identifying root causes of recurring failures and implementing corrective actions to prevent breakdowns from reoccurring.Complete accurate and detailed engineering and maintenance reports.Lead, support, coach and develop maintenance personnel, including apprentices.About YouMotivated to work effectively within a busy, demanding industrial environment.Demonstrable hands-on mechanical experience within an industrial or engineering setting.Strong practical mechanical knowledge, with the ability to apply technical skills effectively.Confident in ..... full job details .....
