Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

HRGO is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy production site. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who thrives on fault-finding, preventative maintenance and improving machine reliability across a range of mechanical, electrical and automated equipment.Key responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to production machinery.- Diagnose and rectify faults across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automated control systems.- Use CMMS to raise, record and close work orders, log spares usage and update machine history.- Support installation, commissioning and modification of plant and equipment.- Work closely with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime.- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, risk assessments and permits; work in accordance with health and safety procedures.- Provide technical input for spare parts strategies and participate in fault analysis and root cause investigations.Essential skills and qualifications- HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Engineering discipline.- Proven experience using CMMS systems to manage maintenance activities.- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.- Experience with automated systems (PLC/controls) and integration with mechanical systems.- Good mechanical fitting skills and the ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.Benefits- 25 days ..... full job details .....
