Pickles Recruitment is on the hunt for a solid Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy chemical company based in Dukinfield. What you''ll be doing:

• Maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, focusing on pumps, pump systems, and mixers (basically the heart and soul of the production line).
• Troubleshooting mechanical faults before they turn into full-blown disasters.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance to keep everything running smoother than your morning coffee.
• Collaborating with the maintenance team to keep downtime to an absolute minimum.
• Reporting on work done and recommending improvements to equipment reliability.

What we want from you:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical environment.
• Hands-on experience with pumps, pump systems, and mixers (if you can talk pumps in your sleep, even better).
• A strong work history that shows you don''t just turn up—you deliver.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, keeping the 8-to-5 rhythm going without drama.
• A "can-do" attitude with a sprinkle of common sense and plenty of grit.
