Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Our client in near Matlock are on the lookout for a mechanical engineer. The role is working shifts consisting of 12 hour days and nights. (44 hours per week on adv)

The Person

• An apprentice trained maintenance engineer with experience of working in a medium to heavy engineering environment.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical engineering
• Willingness to work overtime and differing shifts pattern-
• Able to read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic engineering drawings
• Basic fabrication experience
• Good problem-solving and organisation skills
• Worked in a medium to heavy engineering/manufacturing environment.

The role

• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance duties on a variety of machinery and equipment.
• Continual improvement
• Ensure all PPM tasks are completed on time and to the required standards.
• Identify true cause of failures and report corrective action necessary.
• Ensure all departmental documentation is completed on time and to company standards.
• Develop the PPM system
