Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client facilities team, supporting a group of schools across North London. This role is vital in ensuring safe, efficient, and comfortable learning environments for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across multiple school sites

• Service and repair heating, ventilation, and plumbing systems

• Troubleshoot mechanical faults to reduce downtime

• Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations

• Liaise with school staff and contractors to coordinate works effectively

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service reports

Requirements:

• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)

• Experience in maintaining mechanical systems in educational, commercial, or public buildings

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Knowledge of health & safety procedures
