This company specialise in the design and manufacture of precision optical and engineering products, supplying leading organisations across a wide range of industries worldwide. Due to continued growth they are now looking for a Mechanical Inspector to join their Quality team.
In this role you will be responsible for carrying out inspection activities throughout the manufacturing process, including incoming goods, in-process, first-off, first article and final inspections. Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain teams, you will ensure components meet the highest quality standards whilst supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

THE ROLE:
* Carrying out incoming, in-process and final inspection of precision machined components and assemblies
* Operating and programming CMM equipment alongside conventional inspection equipment
* Producing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), inspection documentation and quality records
* Supporting supplier quality activities, non-conformance investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
* Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to maintain the highest quality standards
THE PERSON:
* Experience within Mechanical Inspection in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
* Experience using CMM equipment, including programming and operation
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
* Experience producing FAIRs and using a range of conventional inspection equipment
* Looking for long-term development and career progression within a growing engineering business
