Mechanical Inspector
JOB SPECIFICATIONMechanical InspectorAbout the RoleThe Mechanical Inspector is responsible for carrying out inspection activities throughout the product lifecycle, including incoming goods inspection, in-process inspection and first-off and first article inspection.The role is critical in ensuring components and assemblies conform to engineering drawings, customer requirements and company quality standards. Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain teams, the Mechanical Inspector will help maintain product quality, support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in the investigation of quality concerns.The position would suit an individual with a strong inspection background, experience of precision engineering and a proactive approach to problem solving.The position reports to the Quality Lead and Laboratory Manager.Location: Send, Woking, Surrey.What You Will Be Doing Incoming inspection of machined, fabricated, moulded, finished and purchased components In-process and final inspection of sub-assemblies and finished products Performing dimensional, visual and functional inspections using conventional and advanced metrology equipment Programming and operating CMM equipment Conducting First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with customer and company requirements Producing inspection records, FAIR documentation, control plans and quality reports Conducting machine shop first-off inspections and batch inspections ..... full job details .....
